Institutional purpose
Statesmanship is a discipline of character and duty.
The American Statesmanship Forum is the parent institution. The Utah Emerging Leaders Forum and all other Emerging Leaders Forums are programs of ASF. Alongside them, ASF is developing additional programs for leaders serving in public life and business.
Its work is grounded in the conviction that free institutions endure only when citizens and leaders possess the character to govern themselves, the judgment to deliberate wisely, and the courage to place duty above private ambition.
ASF will cultivate civic friendship across political, professional, generational, and geographic lines while remaining independent and nonpartisan. Its programs will unite serious formation, enduring relationships, practical service, and the public recognition of worthy examples.

Institutional Structure · Article I
One institution · Several fields of service
A durable home for principled leadership.
ASF is the sole parent organization. The Emerging Leaders Forums—including UELF—the American Statesman League, and the American Business Leaders Society are distinct programs being developed beneath that institutional home. This structure preserves a common standard while permitting each program to serve its own community with seriousness and practical purpose.
The Forum and its national programs remain in development. The descriptions below express their present institutional design; they do not imply that every chapter, fellowship, or national operation is yet active.

The Utah founding model
UELF is helping prove the work in practice.
Founded in 2026, the Utah Emerging Leaders Forum is an ASF program building the local habits the parent institution is meant to advance: thoughtful formation, genuine civic relationships, meaningful community service, and the recognition of honorable leadership. Upon ASF's public launch, UELF will continue its Utah mission within the national family of Emerging Leaders Forums.
