Recognition of leadership and service
Utah Emerging Leaders Forum founder Seth A. Villagomez received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from U.S. Representative Burgess Owens during Utah’s Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at the Utah State Capitol.
The certificate recognized Villagomez’s leadership, service, and contributions to Utah’s Hispanic community. He serves as President and Founder of the Utah Emerging Leaders Forum, an independent, nonpartisan civic organization devoted to forming and connecting emerging leaders for lives of meaningful service.
Villagomez serves as an infantry sergeant and squad leader in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He graduated summa cum laude from Utah Valley University with a bachelor’s degree in National Security Studies and a minor in Chinese Studies. He served in the Berlin, Germany Mission with a Mandarin Chinese-speaking assignment, speaks German, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, and Portuguese, and participated in Exercise Formosa in Brazil in 2026. Looking ahead, he hopes to commission as a Marine Corps officer, pursue graduate degrees in law and foreign affairs, and thereafter continue a career in public service.
